WHAT YOU'LL BE WORKING ON Lead the design and development of the system architecture for the payment gateway platform, considering scalability, reliability, performance, and security requirements. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product management, engineering, and operations, to translate business requirements into technical solutions. Own the target architecture for the system as a whole, and its individual components. Define architectural standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure consistency and maintainability across the platform. Conduct architectural reviews and provide guidance to development teams to ensure adherence to architectural principles and standards. Evaluate emerging technologies and industry trends to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement within the product. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to optimize system performance, scalability, and cost-effectiveness. Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, learning, and innovation. WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field. Proven experience as a System Architect or similar role in a fintech or payments industry environment. Extensive knowledge of system architecture principles, design patterns, and best practices. Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture, and cloud computing technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP). Proficiency in designing and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure systems. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Strategic thinking with the ability to align technical solutions with business objectives and market trends. Experience with Agile methodologies and DevOps practices is a plus. Good level of English and Russian Language.
